About Yesenia
Who chooses to be a professional artist is 2021? I do! As unrealistic a path in art may seem, artists are so important for a million reasons. And I find it important to be practical about the career.
I began my journey with lessons when I was a teenager, won awards, received grants, received a BFA in Fine Art from TCNJ and Hussain School of Art, specializing in Painting, Drawing and Photography - emphasizing on modern techniques and technologies in the field while ensuring a background its diverse history.
I’ve held solo and group exhibitions, given talks at University levels, taught in individual and group settings, worked alongside living artists and professionals in the industry, and have found a way to turn my dream as a living artist into a reality. You can achieve all of this and more!

Learn the skills needed to survive in Art business, how to find your “voice”and better your skill set all at once. To be successful, artists need an arsenal of knowledge, technique and drive - moreso than just being a good at drawing. You’ll learn how to talk about art, how to look at the world through a new lens, how to incorporate various styles into your works, how to realistically approach a future in art-making, and of course strengthen your technical skills.
Whether you’re just starting a hobby or have mild experience with a particular medium, we’ll begin with goals and expectations. No age is too young or old to develop a solid foundation in art, so depending on your level the lessons will be individualized to help you grow as an artist at your own pace. My aim is to prepare you for whatever you future may look like in the field, professional or otherwise.
