About Mason
My Teaching Experience:
- I have +4 years professional teaching experience with ages K-12, as well as undergraduate students
- I've developed childrens courses for 3D printing, competition mathematics, and video game programming at various computer programming levels
- I am well versed in both in-person and virtual tutoring, and was an integral part in transitioning to virtual learning at my previous tutoring position
- At TMU, I typically TA for three courses being Optics and Photonics, Computational Methods in Medical Physics, and Mathematical Methods in Medical Physics
- I am a former STEM instructor, teaching children K-12 computer programming using Scratch and LUA, 3D printing via , robotics through Lego MindStorms, and mathematics such as arithmetic, geometry, probability and statistics, linear algebra, linear systems, calculus, as well as ordinary and partial differential equations .
- I was the runner up for 2022 TA of the year for the TMU Department of Physics, selected from over 120 candidates
About Me:
- I'm a PhD Physics candidate at Toronto Metropolitan University, with a specialization in complex systems
- I have extensive research experience in applying physics concepts to non-traditional systems such as social networks, financial systems, and nonlinear dynamical systems
- I have two pending publications, as well as 6 conferences attendances as a conference speaker over the last three year
- I am an expert at modelling physics via computer programming, with the ability to program in Python, MATLAB, Julia, and SQL
