About Sergei
I’m a professional guitarist, composer, and educator with over 20 years of experience performing, teaching, and mentoring students in the U.S. and internationally. I hold music degrees from Berklee College of Music, Cal State LA, and Herb Alpert Music Center, and I’ve taught at respected institutions like Los Angeles City College and BIMM in Berlin.
My musical journey has taken me from classroom to stage—from touring with original and cover bands across genres to collaborating on the song “Descend,” which reached #1 on Spain’s Rock Delux magazine chart. These real-world experiences shape the way I teach, blending academic knowledge with practical, creative insight.
Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or preparing for an advanced audition, I bring patience, structure, and energy to every lesson. I work with each student to build confidence, develop strong technique, and cultivate their unique musical voice.

As a guitar instructor with 20 years of teaching experience, I build custom lessons around each student’s musical taste, skill level, and goals. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine advanced techniques, I tailor the experience to fit you. Lessons typically include a mix of warm-ups, technical exercises, song-based learning, and creative applications like improvisation or songwriting.
I specialize in alternate tunings, 7-string guitar, and all-fourths tuning—great for players interested in metal, fusion, or modern approaches. I also support students prepping for auditions, music theory exams, or recording projects.
My teaching combines a relaxed, encouraging vibe with structured progress and real-world music insight. Students of all ages are welcome—kids, teens, and adults. If you want to have fun, build confidence, and grow as a musician, I’d be excited to work with you.
