About Marcus
ABOUT ME
Besides having studied music at the University of Cologne Germany, I also hold a degree in “Music Production & Audio Engineering” from the Institute of Production & Recording in Minneapolis. As a solo artist, I focus on eclectic music with a musical and lyrical edge. As a musician and composer I’ve been signed with and worked for multiple music publishing companies. As a producer and engineer I’ve extensively worked with local musicians of many genres both in NYC and LA.
MY MOST IMPORTANT TEACHERS
- Charlie Elgart is a Jazz pianist and composer who was signed to RCA records. He also produced, arranged and played on two "Najee" gold records.
- Clovis Alessandri, my former piano teacher at the University of Cologne, taught me a very musical and expressive way of playing the piano.
- I studied vocals with Nora York while living in NYC. She taught me vocal technique, finding an inner voice as well as the art of conceptualizing musical projects.
