Music technology is a very nuanced area, students often have a wide range of goals and skill levels in different areas. I try to find a balance between the most useful techniques and the most engaging practices for that particular student, to keep you engaged and enthusiastic.
I teach with passion and enthusiasm. It is a subject I love and it shows in my teaching. I have a lot of knowledge to share.
I want to help you get practical experience producing and composing music straight away. I believe in teaching with a very engaging hands on approach, allowing students to lead the way based on where they are in their development. From my experience as a student and a teacher, being hands on from the start is the best way to bring your passion for music to life.
The way I teach is to work with student's ongoing projects, offering immediate feedback and offering useful mixing, composition and arranging advice. Alternatively, the lesson can revolve around creating new projects from scratch, or going through the fundamentals step-by-step. Given my diverse education, I aim to offer flexibility in my approach to tuition.
My teaching method is completely centred around the students requirements of what they want to achieve and also knowing the best areas I am able to push them in so they are able to maximise their learning and push their work quality as far as possible. I have 7 years worth of college level lecturing/teaching experience and I am fully versed in most current successful teaching methods.
I approach each topic in a similar way to the University syllabus as I was taught, first establishing a better understanding of basic audio principles and techniques which inform all areas of audio production, before moving on to more advanced techniques which are perhaps more specific to the students' chosen field.
As a result of Tony’s success of being involved with dance music production, he has seen his career turn down the educational route, teaching GCSE, Diploma, Foundation, and Degree students. Being a natural teaching people about music and production, his enthusiasm and knowledge are second to none, as is his dedication to his work.
I teach function based. I first learn what the student is attempting to achieve with their lessons, and then I shape my programs based on those needs. They might just want to play music, or they might be looking to make a living out of it, either as a session player, an engineer or a producer. I can help.
I offer a fun and practical approach to music production, tailoring each lessons to your own skill level and personal goals. Whether you are just beginning or have some previous experience, we will work together on building your technical knowledge and self confidence as music producer.
I am a relaxed, conversational teacher and enjoy teaching others no matter their previous level of understanding. Music and audio isn't always easy, but if it isn't fun then there's no point! My style of teaching is to encourage an understanding of the subject from the ground up.
Classes are dependent on the students' preference: -Logic Pro X -Ableton Live -Pro Tools -Composition using MIDI -Score Writing (Sibelius) Send a message with any questions, and I'll be happy to answer! My teaching is based on prior knowledge & attainment. Once we establish a level of ability & learner goals, we can develop a course structured around budget, timeframe & resources. Lessons will start with some context / theory and questioning to tease out prior knowledge & understanding, and then develop on to practical application & exercises.
An adaptable, conscientious, enthusiastic, and self-motivated specialist Music Technology teacher and successful music producer with exposure to a wide range of skills. Possessing the ability to relate well to people at all levels. Have passion and a belief in the potential of every student working with.
Hi, l'm Kirk a committed, enthusiastic, hardworking person who is passionate about technology and learning. I give lessons with certificates. My techniques and my methods of instruction are structured from how I teach at leading Electronic Music Academies. Ive been told I am a great patient tutor.
I individualise each lesson according to the student I am working with. Adopting a practical approach, each lesson will include both theory and a practical. Music is a creative and individualised subject that allows people to explore and experiment with ideas, I want this to come across in each of my lessons. Essentially nothing can ever be "wrong".
I can tailor my lessons according to your needs, we can focus on production techniques then mixing or if mixing is what you are looking for we can focus more on that. I have used Ableton Live since version 6 so any curiosity you have about the DAW we can go through it. I also have a 5th grade in Music Theory if you are looking to know more about how it applies to production.
If you need to learn the basics find a school music teacher or sign up for a course at access to music, that will help you qualify as a music teacher or making tea's in a studio someone, Sure that's not why you want to learn music, take a masterclass and learn the secrets & knowledge you really need to make in this modern music industry independently.
I start with the basics of Recording, Mixing, Music Production and Sound Engineer with what I have learned from my own experience and from the different places that I have worked at. I am currently finishing a Phd in Music Technology.
My teaching method is a mixture of setting project targets tailored to the pupil and expanding knowledge within the pupils area of interest to create a bespoke course that will improve both production technique and enhance creativity within the students chosen genre or area of music.
We will sit down and talk about what sort of things you want to record, rock, blues etc and then we shall decide where to start and then where to finish
I follow the Montessori method in a sense - giving the student some subject matter of dense matter and allowing them to play with it, understand and adapt it in the best way that they can do - allowing them to remain open creatively

Combining vital theoretical knowledge with real world applications. Students with production experience often bring along projects they're working on, where I can show them techniques to help improve and better themselves as an artist. I've also designed tailored courses for beginner producers that want to take a step into the world of music production.
I like to start off with a conversation with the student to see where they're at, then we structure the lessons around thier ability and what can be taught in the time frame.
Lessons are Skype based so you can be anywhere and I will teach you from my studio.
I teach my students in a very one on one method, tailoring everything for them personally from lesson to lesson. I note how they progress and what parts they struggle with and excel at, and focus to improve their weak points as well as take them further in areas they are good at.
My teaching method is a very relaxed approch with alot of time spent on identifying faults and improving on them. With that I look at a very wide range of compositional techniques from specific instrumentation per genre to basic theory techniques.
For the past ten years I have been teaching music privately to any from beginner to advanced. Detailed instruction on guitar and piano performance. Music theory and understanding of song writing techniques and recording using modern production techniques. Fast track learning.
I have been playing the keyboard for over 30 years, and can teach notes, chords, sound selection and synthesisation etc. I can show basic drums and also know drum machines, keyboard drum recording, loop use and fill design.
