About Kathy
Years ago, I started teaching simply because I wanted to simplify complex musical concepts for others. Most people assume that formal music training makes teachers cold or unapproachable, but I find that my background helps me strip away the mystery of music theory. "How do you define your success at the keyboard? I use my 7 years of experience and a Master of Music degree to guide you through scales, arpeggios, and ear training.
We focus on posture, hand position, and hand independence to ensure you move with ease. I include pop, jazz improvisation, and dynamics in our curriculum.
We incorporate pedalling technique and accompaniment skills. My instruction is direct. You will play with confidence."
