About Ivana Rebeca
I did not find economics intuitive at first, which pushed me to develop ways of understanding the material in a clear and intuitive way. Through practice, consistency, and color-coded notes and graphs, I improved significantly and went from struggling with core concepts to succeeding in upper-division courses (earning a 4.0 GPA) and working as a research assistant for economics professors at UC Berkeley.
This experience shaped how I teach. I strongly believe that economics is a skill that can be learned through the right approach and enough practice, not something you either “have” or don’t. My goal is to help students build confidence, understand concepts deeply, and succeed in their coursework.

I focus on helping high school and undergraduate students build a strong understanding of economic intuition while also developing the technical skills needed to succeed in exams and problem sets. I primarily teach introductory to intermediate economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. I am also happy to help with AP Micro and AP Macro preparation.
For econometrics, I can support topics such as regression analysis, randomized controlled trials (RCTs), difference-in-differences (DiD), and regression discontinuity designs (RD). I also offer help with R and data analysis.
I have taken and performed well in multiple upper-division economics courses at UC Berkeley and currently work as an undergraduate research assistant in the Department of Economics. My teaching style is clear, structured, and focused on helping concepts click, not just memorization.
