About Sam
I am a pianist, composer, and educator with over 20 years of experience. I am a graduate of both Berklee College of Music and the Eastman School of Music and live in New York City. Over the past 7 years, I have taught at a variety of institutions including community music schools, arts camps, music programs at universities, and colleges/conservatories of music.
Whether someone has experience or is a complete beginner, my goal is to foster a healthy relationship with music in a student, both physically and mentally/emotionally, and it's an honor and pleasure to help them walk that path.

I teach any and all levels of student and tailor our lessons to your musical goals. Lessons are hands-on, where you'll get to apply the knowledge you gain to music you learn or write.
I provide real-world examples of everything we cover and include additional resources for you to explore beyond our lessons. I give you lesson-by-lesson assignments that are crafted to take you step-by-step closer to your goals.
You come first in our lessons. The pace, content, and outcomes are all set by you (with my assistance of course)! I'm here to help you achieve what you want and need from music.
