About Shalu
“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” — W.B. Yeats
I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Ancient Indian Culture at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, after scoring 100 in Political Science, 92 in Psychology, and 92 in Geography in ISC Class 12.
I chose to teach because I believe Humanities is too often reduced to memorization. As Albert Einstein famously said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” My classes focus on curiosity, discussion, and real-world connections, helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorize them. My goal is simple: to help you think critically, learn confidently, and discover that these subjects are far more fascinating than they appear in a textbook.

I focus on understanding rather than memorization. Instead of simply asking you to learn facts and definitions, I help you explore the ideas, stories, and real-world connections behind them. Through discussions, debates, case studies, and interactive lessons, you’ll learn to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and develop your own perspective. Whether it’s understanding human behavior in Psychology, global patterns in Geography, or political systems in Political Science, my goal is to make learning engaging, insightful, and memorable—so you don’t just perform well in exams, you genuinely understand the world around you.
