I am a first year Biochemistry Major with the goal of becoming a great biology professor when I am out of school because I simply love teaching. I believe that good tutelage is at the heart of inspiring young minds to achieve great things.

Greetings, I'm Gabriel! I have a strong background in STEM possessing a perfect GPA in current coursework with the plan of achieving my bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. My skills have been recognized by the Meyerhoff Scholarship Foundation and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute for my ability to not only understand science but also conduct research. In my experience as a student, I find that in order to truly learn something and apply it cannot be simply memorized and read over and over again in a textbook. So in my sessions I seek to promote critical thinking through the use of active learning strategies built upon fully grasping a concept and being able to relate it to the class at large so that it can stay firm in their memory.
I have two years of experience in highschool biology and Chemistry in the classroom where I provided comprehensive answers to students needing additional assistance. I also have a year of experience in college level introductory biology and chemistry tutoring students after class to ensure they both understood the content of the course and how to go about studying to stay on top of their work. Furthermore, I am a tutor for the Princeton Review’s tutor.com where I specialize primarily in Elementary School Science, Algebra 1, and Biology. These sessions are 1 on 1 and conducted online and through them I have experience working with students of all ages from many different walks of life.
I seek to foster learning in the way that best enables any student I tutor to be confident in their ability to learn and I am highly open to any and all feedback from both students and parents to ensure that mission is fulfilled.
