About Dania

Hi! I’m Dania, a University of Toronto graduate in Neuroscience and Chemistry, a 4.0 GPA Dean’s List student, and a former Chemistry Teaching Assistant. I specialize in making Biochemistry clear, structured, and actually understandable, whether you’re in high school, first-year university, or tackling upper-level life sciences courses.

Throughout my academic journey, I’ve consistently performed at the highest level while also supporting students as a TA in Chemistry, where I helped break down difficult concepts and guide students through problem-solving strategies. I’ve also built a strong foundation in neuroscience research, which has strengthened my ability to connect biochemical concepts to real biological systems.

Why learn with me? Because biochemistry often feels overwhelming when it’s taught as memorization-heavy content. I focus instead on helping you understand the logic behind the systems. I break down pathways, mechanisms, and reactions into clear, step-by-step explanations so that everything starts to connect rather than feel like isolated facts. My goal is to make you think like the exam expects you to think—not just remember information.

I tailor my teaching to each student’s learning style, slowing things down when needed and reinforcing concepts through repetition, diagrams, and exam-style questions. I focus on what actually improves grades: understanding core principles, recognizing patterns in questions, and applying knowledge efficiently under pressure.

My teaching methodology is structured, concept-driven, and highly exam-oriented. I break down complex biochemical pathways and mechanisms into simple, logical steps so students can actually understand how systems connect rather than memorize isolated facts. I emphasize active recall, diagram-based learning, and repeated application through practice questions similar to what students see in university exams.

A typical lesson begins with a quick diagnostic review of the topic or problem areas, followed by a clear explanation of the core concept (for example: enzyme kinetics, metabolism pathways, or molecular interactions). We then move into guided problem-solving and exam-style questions to reinforce understanding. Each session ends with targeted summary notes and practice questions to ensure retention and confidence.

What sets me apart is my combination of academic excellence and teaching experience. As a former Chemistry TA, I understand where students typically struggle and how instructors design exams. My 4.0 GPA background reflects not just hard work, but a strong system for mastering complex material efficiently.

These lessons are designed for undergraduate students in Biochemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or related programs who want to improve grades, prepare for midterms and finals, or strengthen foundational understanding for advanced courses.
