About Danielle
Hi, I’m Danielle, a Biochemistry student at the University of Arizona with experience as both a university Teaching Assistant and private tutor. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their academic abilities while creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, I independently led college laboratory sections of approximately 30 students, guiding them through complex biology concepts and helping them strengthen their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My tutoring experience includes working with students of many ages and learning styles, from preschool through college-level courses.
I specialize in math, science, and English for younger students, as well as Algebra I & II, Geometry, Chemistry, Biology, and college-level Molecular and Cellular Biology. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to fit each student’s needs and learning style.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them feel more confident, motivated, and comfortable asking questions. I strive to make lessons engaging, patient, and personalized so students can succeed both in and outside the classroom.

As a tutor, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning needs by breaking down difficult concepts into smaller, easier-to-understand steps and using real-world examples to make lessons more engaging.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying any areas the student is struggling with. I then guide students through new concepts using practice problems, interactive discussion, and step-by-step explanations before ending with a review and strategies for independent practice.
What sets me apart is my experience both as a University of Arizona Teaching Assistant and as a one-on-one tutor working with students of many ages and learning styles. My background in biochemistry and molecular biology allows me to explain advanced science topics in a clear and approachable way.
My lessons are designed for preschool through high school students in math, science, and English, including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Chemistry, and Biology, as well as college-level Molecular and Cellular Biology students.
