About Lindsay
I am a college student at Binghamton University in Upstate New York currently pursuing a degree in Biochemistry and an additional minor in Health and Wellness Studies. I have always loved chemistry and biology so I decided to pursue a degree which would combine the two! I tutored introductory chemistry at the university, was a teaching assistant in introductory physics II for two semesters, and was a mentor for a research program for freshman in biomedical and molecular anthropology. I recently applied to graduate school and will then be applying to medical school!

While tutoring at my university, I taught mostly in a group setting, however I much prefer teaching one on one. I feel that this is a much more effective way to ensure that each student is understanding the content of a course without feeling intimidated or embarrassed to ask questions. One of my favorite ways to help students learn is to find ways in which they are able to remember and apply their knowledge. This differs in all students and the first thing I like to do is determine what the best way they learn and remember new information and then apply that information to their future study techniques.
