About Morgan
Before that, I spent five years as a Teaching Assistant at Bowie State, supporting professors and students in Biology, Zoology, and Anatomy & Physiology courses. I’ve also worked directly with K-12 students as an environmental educator, leading hands-on science programs and building inclusive, accessible learning experiences for communities that don’t always get easy access to STEM. I was even invited to speak at a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Bowie State University event on fieldwork and diversity in conservation.
I take tutoring seriously — that means showing up prepared, communicating clearly, and being someone both students and parents can rely on. Whether we’re working through a tricky anatomy unit or building confidence in general science, my goal is to make sure every student leaves a session understanding the material and feeling capable of tackling it on their own.

I come to every session prepared, not improvising. Before we meet, I like to know exactly what a student is struggling with so I can build a lesson plan around that specific gap rather than a generic review. From there, I teach to how each student actually learns — for some that’s a hands-on activity or a game, for others it’s a video followed by real discussion. I ask a lot of questions during sessions, since I’ve found students remember concepts far better when they explain them back to me than when I just explain them to the student. And if something isn’t clicking, I don’t push through the plan anyway — I pivot on the spot and try a different angle until it does.
What sets me apart is range, preparation, and flexibility. I’ve supported students from elementary environmental education programs all the way through college-level Anatomy & Physiology labs as a teaching assistant, so I adjust my language, pace, and teaching style naturally depending on who’s in front of me. I’m especially comfortable with students who’ve felt behind or intimidated by science before — a lot of my background is in making STEM feel approachable to kids and communities who haven’t always had easy access to it.
My lessons are a fit for K-12 students needing help with general science or biology, as well as high school and college students working through Biology, Zoology, or Anatomy & Physiology coursework.
