About Tia
I am recent graduate taking a year off while applying for medical school. I graduated with a degree in biology and a psychology minor, with honors and a 3.91 cumulative GPA. I have a lot of experience with the pre-med track and scored in the 98th percentile on the MCAT. I had a great tutor for organic chemistry so I know what works in terms of learning streamlined techniques and focusing on good topics when preparing for exams.

I pride myself on being able to break down larger scientific topics into small understandable pieces that are manageable to learn and understand. I teach based on what worked for me as a student and want to show current students ways to study and learn effectively, without wasting time or getting frustrated when memorization comes into play (as is typical with biology classes).
