About Nina
I am a sophomore biology student at Indian River State College, I graduate with my AA in biology and will be transferring to USF to further my education this spring. I am a pre-medical student so rigor is quite noticeable in my coursework which is why I have decided to help out our scholarly allies (high schoolers and middle schoolers). As your tutor, I am very dedicated to getting you to understand difficult topics as generally the issue isn't with the child, it's how the child is perceiving a topic given to them especially with math. Every child is different and must be accommodated for, so a big factor of my lessons is analyzing learning style, preferred note-taking processes, and study methods that will suit you best.

I am a hands-on tutor that specializes in active recall techniques outside of tutoring help and focus on strategy. A typical lesson plan details the overarching idea of the subject, the forms a subject may appear in, and detailed step-by-step explanations of the subject. Practicing homework questions and introducing other concepts outside of the student's traditional learning and connecting them to the problem at hand is what sets me apart from other tutors. These lessons are for 6-8th grade middle schoolers, as well as 9-12th grade high schoolers.
