About Syeda
Hi! I am Syeda and I have a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics and a First Class Honours degree in BSc Biomedical Science. I have a passion for teaching sciences, and having obtained AAA in GCSE sciences, I am enthusiastic about sharing my learning techniques with current students. I have experience tutoring my younger siblings and fellow students in my home country.
In my final year as an undergraduate, I studied how changes in gravity affect the expression of proteins in muscle cells. This was a combination of various disciplines including physiology, molecular genomics, biochemistry, and physics. Presenting my research to fellow students was a highly enjoyable experience and further developed my passion for teaching science. I hope to utilise this enthusiasm in helping current students do the best they possibly can.

My lessons will be focused on understanding the student’s needs and will start by covering the basics of a certain topics, building up to more complex concepts. I would like to then go through the process of applying the topic knowledge in the exam.
In my experience as a student and a tutor, I have found that despite having a solid understanding of basics, not fully understanding the marks scheme and exam technique could lead to students missing out on the grades they deserve. Thus, I aim to not only teach the content but also ensure that you understand its application in the context of the relevant exam board.
