Duration : 2 hours - Price : £50.00 - Place : HayesI will be running a 2 hour final crash course for both GCSE and A-level biology according to the students chosen curriculum. It will be a mixture of analysing exam paper questions and answering them with the student. The aim of this masterclass is to evaluate all the topics listed in the specification via a series of long and short answer exam questions, this will prepare the student for how questions will be structured in the exam and remove any anxiety around the exam environment. The class will be compartmentalised into different sections with the first 30 mins is used to review any weak spots in knowledge that the student may have, the next hour and fifteen minutes is used to review exam questions and the final fifteen minutes to overview the structure of the exam as well as potential topics that may come up in the paper.

Course setup
I have been running these types of crash courses before exams for 2 years now and have taught over 50 students in this time, because of my experience I have noticed that the knowledge of students isn’t the issue but the way that exam paper questions are worded. This is why I emphasise the importance of looking at exam papers all through revision so this anxiety does not cloud their judgement when answering questions. Many of my students who have joined my GCSE crash courses have gone on to score level 7-9 in GCSE biology and those in A level have proceeded to university doing courses such as medicine, biochemistry etc.
