I am a very hands-on and visual learner, and I like to provide that learning experience through tutoring, especially in tougher subjects that are not often taught in a way that caters to all types of learners. I am all for understanding a concept over memorizing it. My goal is to help students fully understand a potentially difficult concept or problem, not through memorizing how to solve it or the answer, but by piecing that concept/problem apart and actually understanding why and how. This allows for a much more fruitful learning experience and allows students to take more away from a lesson, not just to memorize it for the next big test/exam and then quickly forget it after. My typical lesson plan involves communicating with the student and identifying what concept/problems they may be wanting to get better at. I love learning and I love everything about the sciences, so I would be happy to help tutor any elementary, high school, or undergrads in biochemistry, chemistry, and biology.
