About Brandon
I am a licensed clinical Social Worker in the State of Massachusetts with a Masters of Social Work from Boston College and a licensure in School Adjustment Counseling. I have worked with a variety of non-profit organizations such as Wediko Children's Services and Ramapo for Children as a counselor that supported youth with behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Additionally, I served two years with City Year Providence as a tutor, mentor and behavioral coach to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade bilingual students. I currently work in a Boston Public School as a School Social Worker that coordinates the mental health services of over 200 students.

My approach to supporting each student is by assessing and understanding the individual needs of each student. The first step is to get to know each student and determine their short-term and long-term goals. The second step is to assess the strengths and weaknesses of each student by utilizing evidence-based assessment tools. The third step is to develop an individualized tutoring plan to support the student's growth in their areas of concern. I place a large emphasis in social emotional learning during instruction as I aim to equip every student with the behavioral and social skills necessary to promote academic and professional success.
