About Antara
I love learning and can't wait to learn alongside your student. I've been tutoring for the past five years and cover multiple subjects. I graduated with a minor in Spanish so I'm quite used to teaching it. I also explored American literature and attended a variety of writing workshops in Boulder.

I like an involved and personalized approach unique to each individual. I prefer one-on-one lessons or smaller group sizes. When teaching, we start off with a general summary and allow for a student-led approach where they voice their concerns and give direction for how to proceed. I cover basic structures with middle school students and go into more depth with high school students. A typical lesson plan looks like:
Huddle- casual conversation, build rapport
Identify goals- let students express their concerns and what they want to achieve in time period
Warm up- have small exercises ie phonics and writing
New concepts- introduce new topics
Practice- integrate topics into multidisciplinary processes, ie written paragraphs, small conversations
Cool down- Establish next steps- ie homework, practice sets
