About Rishi

Hi I'm Rishi I'm a first year Bsc Economics student at LSE I have been a tutor for 2 years and have been tutored through my GCSE's and A-Levels giving me perspective and experience from both the position of a tutor and tutee. I have tutored 1-1 and in small groups, teaching my peers A-level maths within my Sixth Form college, as well as helping in weekly economics support sessions, helping students work on exam technique and essay technique. I achieved a 94% average in A-Level Maths and am passionate about applied mathematics and statistics which I hope to develop over the coming years. I also wrote an EPQ on the implementation of behavioural game theory on policy reform, acknowledging the interdisciplinary nature of economics and the balance between quantitative and qualitative thought. I received Economics offers from LSE, UCL, Bristol and MORSE (Maths & Stats) at Warwick with a strong TMUA score, plus a Cambridge interview offer - experience I use to guide students through uni applications and interviews. I offer flexible support with GCSE/A-level Maths, Economics, TMUA prep, personal statements and Oxbridge applications. My tailored approach adapts lessons to individual needs, focusing on both understanding content and exam technique so students can excel in exams and apply their knowledge confidently. About the lesson

I provide online lessons typically 1 hour in duration.
My lessons are aimed at A level students in Year 12 and 13 + GCSE
I use methods that helped me the most to achieve highly in A levels. For Maths and Further maths this takes a focus on derivation of key ideas, principles and concepts, followed by applying this learning to challenging past questions.
For Economics my methods revolve around mastering answer technique, paying close attention to mark Schemes and examiner reports to write more conscisely and critically.
For personal statement help I can offer tailored guidance on writing format, content and verbiage. I can also help tailor personal statements to admissions to unis such as Oxbridge, LSE and imperial.
For Oxbridge interview prep I am able to use my first hand experiences as a Cambridge Economics interviewee to role play interviewers and practice commonly asked questions (both mathematical and subject based).
For TMUA tuition I focus specifically on the underlying themes asked in the exam. This focuses on Combinatorics, graph sketching, Proofs and methodsin algebra.
