I am a teacher of science and I have been for years. In order to provide the best teaching experience, I believe it is important going through each topic during the first session and highlighting with the student areas of struggle, before producing an efficient plan.
I then go through each area of struggle with a fine tooth comb and end each session with exam questions, as this is a crucial skill to have in order to achieve the highest grades. This way we are not only covering content, but also understanding what examiners are looking for and being able to apply knowledge to a scenario.
