About Elyana
Studying Law LLB at the University of Cambridge after achieving an A* in A-Level Politics has given me a strong understanding of both the subject and the techniques needed to perform well in the exams.
Having completed AQA Politics recently, I know how difficult it can be to turn a large amount of content into a focused, high-scoring essay. During my A-Level, I developed clear methods for approaching different question types, selecting strong evidence, building arguments and writing effective evaluation.
Tutoring gives me the opportunity to pass on the methods that worked for me and help students become more confident with both the content and the exams. My aim is to make Politics feel structured and manageable rather than overwhelming, while adapting lessons to what each student wants to improve.

My lessons are tailored to each student and focus heavily on developing the skills needed to achieve high marks in AQA A-Level Politics. We can work through essay planning, writing full essays, improving existing essays and marking work together using the AQA assessment objectives and mark schemes.
I can also provide detailed feedback on essays, identify exactly where marks are being lost and show students how to improve their argument, analysis, evaluation and use of examples. We can break down past-paper questions, build strong essay plans and practise writing introductions, paragraphs and conclusions before progressing to timed essays.
Alongside essay technique, I can go through any areas of UK Politics, US Politics or political ideas that a student is struggling with and help consolidate content and contemporary examples.
Lessons are typically one hour and are suitable for Year 12 and Year 13 students at any level, particularly those looking to push their essays into the higher mark bands.
