About Ellis
I am a Natural Sciences student at the University of Cambridge, specialising in Chemistry and Materials Science. I achieved 4A* at A-Level in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics, and I offer tutoring in Chemistry, Maths and Physics for KS3, GCSE and A-Level students.
I understand that science and maths can feel intimidating, so I focus on explaining concepts clearly and building students’ confidence step by step. My teaching style is patient, friendly and structured, with an emphasis on understanding, exam technique and problem-solving.
Alongside my academic background, I have experience teaching dance and leading student activities, which has helped me become an encouraging and adaptable teacher. My goal is to make students feel comfortable asking questions and more confident in their ability to improve.

My lessons are relaxed, supportive and adapted to each student’s level. I know that science and maths can feel intimidating, so I focus on breaking difficult ideas into simple steps and helping students gain confidence.
Each lesson can include a mixture of topic explanation, worked examples, practice questions, homework support and exam-style questions. For GCSE and A-Level students, I also focus on exam technique, mark schemes and how to write answers that actually gain marks.
I am currently studying Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, specialising in Chemistry and Materials Science. I achieved 4A* at A-Level in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics, so I can support students across science and maths subjects.
Most importantly, I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that is usually where the real learning happens.
