About Issy
Hi, I'm Issy! I am a first year undergraduate at the University of Cambridge studying mathematics. I achieved A*A*A* in maths, further maths and physics A levels, and have 10 GCSEs, including seven 9s. I also have an AQA tutoring accreditation award, and am DBS checked. I am enthusiastic about helping other students achieve their academic goals and sharing my interest in maths and sciences. I have a total of 2 years tutoring experience, including a year with a charity called Success4All, during which I received training in how to effectively deliver engaging sessions. Each lesson is tailored to meet the student's needs. Everyone learns differently, which is why I adapt my teaching methods to find what works best for each tutee. The lessons are very interactive, which helps students to engage with the content and gain an in-depth understanding. I also interleave different topics together rather than teaching it in 'blocks' of one topic at a time, as this has been scientifically shown to be more effective, as it helps build connections between different areas of the subject. In addition to tutoring school subjects, I am happy to help students who are preparing for challenging exams such as UKMT maths challenges and the STEP exams.

Perfect! Issy is really patient and explains the material really well. Issy has developed a really good rapport with my daughter as she is really supportive and encouraging.
