My lessons are personally tailored to you and your specific needs, to help you get the best results at all levels of CIE mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus. My lessons will be very conversational, helping you to understand the mathematical concepts.
In my teaching, I believe it’s really important to make sure a student can understand how something works rather than just learning a method to do things. I believe in this and help them reach this understanding because it will help them build on this knowledge throughout the rest of their studies in maths.
I am a second year undergraduate studying law at Cambridge University; I tutor primary and secondary school students. I encourage students to attempt the harder aspect of the topic, after which I will work with them to see where they went wrong.
In my studies at school I have gained a good understanding of the types of lessons that pupils find engaging and productive, which I aim to give. My typical lesson would comprise of a short introduction to the topic followed by exploring several worked examples until a complete understanding of the topic has been reached.
I like to teach by understanding rather than by rote. If a student thoroughly understands a concept they are much likelier to remember it, and be able to deal with complicated/unorthodox problems. However this isn't an excuse not to practice. I typically go through some example problems with the student, and then see how the student fares in their own time.
The key to Maths is really understanding how it works rather than remembering set steps to follow. For this reason, I explain things in depth and provide challenging questions which will ensure that you understand fully so as to be prepared for any question thrown at you in an exam.
My teaching method is very simple. I try to teach the basics then build up on it so the student understands the foundations and can tackle any situations.
My teaching method is adjusted to each individeal student, depending on their strengths and weaknesses. I aim to improve students' marks across the board in a variety of subjects rather than just the one they think they need the most help with.
Maths is a subject that can be drilled with the formulas and repetitive exercises. I provide up to date and challenging exercises to exercise the brain and to drill in the concepts needed to excel in the subject. My students have constantly given feedback that the way I break down concepts to them are extremely useful.
What's my tutoring approach? This depends on what is troubling you. -(Knowledge) If there are gaps in your knowledge, then we can review whole topics thoroughly. If there's a concept that you don't understand, then we'll strip it down to the exact mechanism that's causing you the headache and together, we'll think of an analogy to help you get your head around it.
I give lessons to those of varying abilities, from GCSE students to undergraduates. I formulate a tutorial to suit individual needs and levels of ability. In almost every case the tutorials are structured to compliment the curriculum and focus strongly on potential exam questions.
1. I explain the fundamental concepts and theories using solved examples 2. I choose carefully approriate problems and questions matching the students level 3. The student has to solve TEST and Problems with or without my help 4. I summarize the learning contents and give material and test material 5.
I aim to provide students with a sufficient understanding of core mathematical concepts to help them to think for themselves and apply these concepts to exam style questions. This is targeted at GCSE level or below. My methods of instruction will include starting the lesson off with a short and concise explanation into the topic that is to be covered as well as working through a practice question.
I believe in lots of practice, and explaining things from the fundamentals, so that my students can have a thorough understanding of the concept. No question is a silly question. I am a very easy-going person and so the lessons should not be stressful. I want you to enjoy learning.
I like subjects that can be applied to problems student can relate to and i believe a problem solving approach is the best approach to learning math. Therefore, my teaching is centered about understanding and solving fun/memorable questions. I teach students in middle school or high school Mathematics is fun to Mental.
I generally go topic by topic, following topics that are done in school while ensuring that you are always at pace or ahead of the class. Otherwise, my teaching style is flexible with regards to homework, and I adapt it often as I learn more about you, the student.
My teaching methodology is that, I follow a set way to cover the whole curriculum but at the same time, put the individuals need first.
I believe in making my teaching customized to the student. Everyone has a different way of learning new things and understanding.
Maths is one of the most- hated academic subject that's why my teaching method is individual, that it fits for each student.
My main approach to teaching is through worked problems. I set some reading and a series of questions. In tutorials, I ask you to recall as best you can the definitions and ideas from the reading. Then I guide you through the solutions to the problems, discussing alternative approaches and explaining steps you have found difficult.
My sessions are always tailored to make them personal to the individual student. This may involve a concentration on central concepts, exam technique, or knowledge outside the scope of their course. Most important to me is that we take the sessions at the students own pace so that they always understand the principles.

My teaching method allows students to express their own ideas and helps them to fully understand topics, so that they can achieve the highest grades possible. Our classes focus on topics that my students find most difficult, as identified by either myself or the student.
For primary level I work to the syllabus and aim to go along side what they are being taught in school to help them to fully understand a topic if they are struggling or to stretch them beyond what they are currently studying.
I have a very flexible approach and structure my lessons around the needs of the individual, whether it be help understanding difficult concepts in a subject, or developing techniques in effectively applying the subject to numerical problems. I am a friendly and enthusiastic teacher committing to helping students get the most out of their education.
I am currently at university, and am happy to help students in school (mathematics and science being my specialities). My general method is to explain a topic to students (using examples) before taking any questions. I then ask the student to complete some questions to check their understanding, addressing any issues they are having with the topic.
