About Leonette
Hi! I am a High school student and Campus journalist with nearly 5 years of experience, I have a consistent grade of 94+ in English and have written various forms of literature from poems to essays and articles. I have also participated in English Quiz bees and spelling bees which improved my overall knowledge of the subject. As a student myself, I know the academic pressure students often carry very well so I aim to teach at my learner's pace and depending on how fast or slow they understand and learn.

I am a Campus Journalist with 4 years of experience and an academic achiever, I specialize in News writing, Science writing, Essay writing and proofreading. Through Journalism, I have developed strong skills in research, fact-checking, clear writing and responsible reporting. I have written articles for school publications and have joined both district and divisional competitions, which helped me strengthen my writing skills.
I consistently garner a grade of 94+ in English and have a strong foundation in grammar, comprehension and essay writing. I also participate in Spelling bees, which improved my vocabulary, and articulation and enunciation.
Additionally, I have an experience of teaching kindergartners on the basics of reading.
As a tutor, I will help students in grades 4-8 with essay writing, news writing, spelling, reading, as well as editing and proofreading papers. And younger years on the basics of reading. I aim to make my lessons engaging and supportive, helping students improve with their own voice. Plus, I will teach my students according to how slow or fast they learn and understand.
