About Emaan
As an honors high school student, I am very familiar with how difficult school can be. I believe it is important to know that it's alright to fail and how we all have our strong suits. I can understand languages and am trying to learn more, like Arabic and Russian, and I take classes in French. I have interests in philosophy, psychology, history, and the arts! In my free time, I enjoy free writing, drawing, painting, or playing video games. My goal is to always try to involve myself in something new, whether it's a hobby or meeting different people. My favorite sports are badminton and tennis. While I do sometimes struggle with procrastination, like any other person, I find ways to create planners and schedules to stick to, avoiding things at the last minute. I have many faults and struggle with many things like whistling, swimming, using keys, reading analog time, making eye contact, etc., etc., but I believe that trying your best will always deliver results!

I focus on shaping each lesson around how you learn best, leaning into your strengths while steadily working through the areas where you might struggle. School can be genuinely stressful right now, and my goal is to build a calm, supportive connection where you feel comfortable asking questions without any pressure. I work with students aged 10 to 18 in English, geometry, and algebra. Having personally taken English Honors and earned straight A’s in Algebra and Geometry, I understand this material deeply, know how to navigate the workload, and remember what it feels like to sit in those classes. Our sessions always start by highlighting what you already do well, using those existing skills as a foundation to understand new, complex topics. Because everyone processes information differently, I design my lessons to be highly customizable. For visual learners, this means we will use practical tools like color-coding key steps, drawing out geometric imagery, creating math-to-text comparisons, and breaking down rigid formulas into clear, sentence-structured explanations. When we work on English, we will peer-review your essays and creative pieces together, focusing on how well your ideas connect with your specific target audience. For algebra and geometry, we will walk through practice problems step-by-step, analyzing potential error zones so you can spot and fix tricky mistakes on your own during exams. My approach is patient, attentive, and treats mistakes as a normal, useful part of the learning process rather than a failure. Furthermore, I am always glad to adapt my teaching methods to work through language barriers, ensuring that language never gets in the way of your academic growth.
