About Maria
Hi! My name is Maria, and I’m a pre-med student at Coastal Carolina University with a 3.89 GPA and consistent Dean’s List honors. I currently serve as the Vice President of a pre-health organization, where I help coordinate events and organize community initiatives such as blood drives.
In addition to my leadership experience, I work as a biology lab aide and assist faculty members across multiple science departments. I’ve also been involved in both chemistry and psychology research, which has given me hands-on experience with scientific thinking, problem-solving, and communicating complex concepts clearly.
I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn and gain confidence in subjects that may seem challenging at first. I understand that every student has a different learning style, so I tailor my approach to each individual’s needs. My goal is not only to improve grades and test performance, but also to help students develop strong study habits and confidence in their abilities.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, painting, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to helping students reach their academic goals and discover that learning can be engaging, rewarding, and achievable.

Hi! I’m a student at Coastal Carolina University with a 3.89 GPA and multiple semesters on the Dean’s List. In addition to my coursework, I work as a biology lab aide, where I assist with preparing laboratory materials and supporting undergraduate science courses. This experience has strengthened my ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
I offer tutoring in biology, chemistry, psychology, and general study skills for middle school, high school, and introductory college students. Every lesson is tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. Whether you’re studying for an exam, working through homework, reviewing challenging topics, or trying to improve your grades over the summer, I’ll create a plan that works for you.
I strive to provide a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I use practice problems, review activities, active recall, and effective study strategies to help students truly understand the material rather than simply memorize it.
My goal is to help students not only improve academically but also gain confidence in their abilities and become more independent learners. I offer virtual sessions and have flexible summer availability.
