About Laura
My name is Laura and I have been playing and performing as a cellist since I was 7 years old. I have a Master's degree from the University of Miami, as well as an undergraduate degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

I believe that the most important lesson when learning the cello is how to practise effectively and efficiently. I emphasise teaching students how to approach problems thoughtfully, experiment with different solutions, and become increasingly independent in their practice.
I do place an emphasis on technique, as I believe that developing a strong technical foundation gives you the tools you need to express yourself and interpret music in the way you want to.
