About Amirah
I am very understanding and try to make learning fun! Since I am a musician, I am always looking for new songs to listen to. So, during our breaks, show me a song you really like. If you're frustrated, I am always willing to listen to what you have to say, this makes sure that you are able to learn to the best of your abilities and I am able to help to the best of my abilities.

My teaching style is very student-based, to ensure that students are able to come to their own conclusions. If a student is having a difficult time, I believe in giving students breaks, and speaking to them about why they may be frustrated or confused. I am quite conversation-based during lessons. If we are working after school, I would usually start with the homework assignment and then find other exercises to do with the student. We may even go over a lesson for the next phase of lessons that students will have in class. EX: if a student is working on the circumference of a circle, and they show that they comprehend the topic, I will start the next lesson in the unit which is usually the area of a circle. I work with all age groups but primarily elementary and middle school-aged students.
