I have over 6 years of experience teaching, and I have exclusively taught online for the past 3 years. I am certified in elementary education and received my bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in Spanish from the University of Tulsa. I am comfortable working with all elementary and lower middle school students. I have experience working with students that are performing at grade level, excelling beyond grade level, and those needing remediation. When tutoring, I meet students where they're at and strive to implement methods that are effective for their individual needs. I structure my lessons to cover 1-3 key skills per session. I teach skills with a scaffolded approach that includes direct instruction, guided practice, and independent work. I also include various activities and games to keep my students engaged.
