About Khadijah
As a professional educator, I bring a high level of preparation, reliability, and confidence to every tutoring session. I have extensive classroom experience and understand how to assess a student’s needs, identify skill gaps, and adjust instruction to help each child make meaningful progress. I take my role as a tutor seriously and approach each family with professionalism, clear communication, and respect for their goals and expectations.
Parents can feel confident knowing that their child is working with an experienced educator who understands child development, academic standards, and effective instructional practices. I come prepared with purposeful lessons and activities rather than relying on worksheets or generic practice. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and challenging themselves while still maintaining high expectations for their learning.

I’m a certified elementary teacher with experience teaching students from kindergarten through sixth grade, and I’m passionate about helping children become confident, capable learners. One of my greatest areas of passion is reading intervention—helping students strengthen foundational phonics, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and overall confidence as readers. I believe children learn best when instruction is individualized, engaging, and built around their strengths.
I also provide individualized academic support and test preparation, including WPPSI and ISEE preparation. For test prep, I focus not only on practicing skills and question types, but also on building test-taking strategies, stamina, confidence, and familiarity with the testing experience.
Whether a student needs targeted reading intervention, elementary academic support, or preparation for an upcoming assessment, my goal is to meet them where they are and help them make meaningful progress while developing a positive attitude toward learning.

We have really enjoyed working with Khadijah. My youngest has Down Syndrome and Khadijah has worked hard to accommodate her specific learning style. Linnea stays engaged and we have seen so much progress. Would definitely recommend Khadijah for your child's reading needs.
