About Megan
I am originally from Japan, with a degree in Secondary Education from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. I’ve taught Civics Education and World History in diverse classroom settings, working with students from a variety of cultural and academic backgrounds. My teaching philosophy centers on making social studies meaningful, relevant, and engaging for every learner. I believe students connect best with history and civics when they see their real-world applications, so I use a variety of methods—from inquiry-based discussions and primary source analysis to multimedia tools and project-based learning—to bring lessons to life. Whether in a classroom or online setting, I am committed to helping students build critical thinking skills, deepen their understanding of the world, and grow as informed citizens.
