About Hanna
I am a certified BC Teacher. I graduated with a HBA in History, Political Science, and English from the University of Toronto and went on to complete a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from UVIC. I am now working towards finishing the last half of my English Language Learning Certification. I have experience teaching grade 6-7 math and science, Social Studies 9, Social Studies 10, and BC First Peoples 12. I am also familiar with the content, skills and curriculum of other Social Studies courses and English Courses as well. In the past I have tutored ESL students from Latin American countries which sparked my interest in English Language Learning. I am passionate about working with youth to reach their goals whatever they may be.

My expertise best fits Middle school and High-school level students
Lessons will be tailored to the student's goals, course content, interests, and weaknesses regarding necessary skills.
Lessons focus on a smaller goal, such as a specific assignment, test preparation, or practicing a skill which builds towards the student's larger goals for example a pending exam, project, or essay.
I integrate different and unique media and perspectives in my lessons. And favour activities and exercises during lessons rather than assigning work outside of sessions.
No worries if a student thinks they can't succeed or are too "far behind" I will make the content and skills accessible for them
Lessons may be 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or 90 minutes.
