About Sydney
At 28, I bring a nurturing, highly skilled, and goal-driven approach to supporting young learners, shaped by five years of experience in both regular and special education—and a lifetime of mentorship from my mother, a teacher. I’m known for my patience, creativity, and the way I make learning feel engaging and relatable. With a relationship-first mindset, I focus on building trust so every child feels comfortable, capable, and excited to grow. I have extensive experience working with diverse learners, including English Learners and students with disabilities, which allows me to adapt instruction with confidence and compassion. Outside of teaching, I’m a small-town Louisiana girl who loves to read, sip matcha, and spend time with my two dogs—Honey and Gus—affectionately known as “the twins.” Families often describe me as personable, warm, and deeply committed to helping every child reach their fullest potential.

As a certified Louisiana teacher with experience in both early elementary and early intervention, I provide K–4 tutoring that meets children exactly where they are. I use a multi-sensory, multi–learning style approach so every student can access information in the way their brain learns best. Through ongoing progress monitoring and data-driven instruction, I target specific skill gaps, build essential foundations, and ensure each lesson is purposeful.
