About Charles
- What kind of experience do you have?
Six years experience as a classroom teacher of maths (secondary level). Ten years experience in Tutoring maths and science. Experience of using maths in technology and industry, including Guided Missiles for Marconi Space and Defence Systems, Radar for Plessey, and communications technology for Reuters News.

I have an up to date CRB certificate.

Over the past year I have tutored 23 students, mostly for A level maths. Also GCSE maths, and GCSE and iGCSE Sciences.

I am recently retired from a career in maths teaching, technology, and the City of London. I have been doing tutoring for ten years now. I very much enjoy teaching and the opportunity it gives me to make a difference to young people's lives.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Physics and Maths primarily, General Science at lower levels.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
A levels in Physics, Chemistry, Pure Maths, Applied Maths, Further Maths and Numerical Analysis. Honours Degree in Maths from Imperial College. PGCE from Kings College London.
- How much do you charge?
£40 per hour. First meeting is primarily to see whether we like each other. This first meeting will only be charged if you decide to continue with tutoring.
- Where do you teach?
I normally teach in the students home. I am based in Battersea, and willing to travel to most parts of South London.
- When are you available?
Free most days except Sunday. In the summer months - July and August - I am likely to take holidays.
