About Dave
Hi, I'm an MChem graduate from the University of Bath currently in third year of my PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Leeds in October. During my studies I've amassed plenty of experience in academic and pharmaceutical laboratories, particularly in material analysis.
I'm incredibly passionate about sharing and teaching science, focusing not just on the facts that will be asked about in exams but helping students to understand the how and why behind the content. Having recently completed my degree (and less recently my A level and GCSE studies) I'm aware of the challenges of learning science at this stage and I hope to provide some perspective and context to the syllabus.
I have worked with students of all backgrounds and abilities from primary school age up to students sitting their A levels and preparing for university and beyond, as well as experience of teaching students with learning difficulties. I like to think of my teaching style as being flexible to the students' needs and interests to help them obtain the grades they want but to develop skills they will use later in life.
