I see each complex section in science and mathematics as a composition of relatively simple questions whose solutions often involve the application of rudimentary mathematical and scientific axioms. As such, I seek to impress upon my students the importance of decomposing problems by rewriting the questions posed in a generally longer but more comprehensible form.
Practise is the best way to learn maths so when teaching it, I begin by explaining a new concept to the student, then going through a few problems with them, then letting them go through some problems alone to highlight any problems so I can then explain and fix the problem.
I tend to vary my teaching method depending on the needs and learning style of the student. I like to teach by a direct approach, encouraging the use of past papers to perfect exam technique and practice. I also tailor my teaching to follow the exact syllabus taught to the student, to ensure their exact learning needs are met.
I like to base my teaching on the style the learner finds best. We initially agree on the way the learner wants to progress in the subject - which topics to cover first, what kind of resources to use (so for a visual leaner I would use a number of diagrams and images to explain any processes/concepts) and the length of time they would like to spend on each area.
My philosophy stems from teaching each student uniquely so that they understand each topic in their own way. As well as empower them to have confidence in their own ability.
I like to explain the topic first give a few examples and then give students a chance and then explain what they did right and where they need to improve. I also like to show the specification so students know what exactly what they will be tested on in their exam.
My teaching method is systematic, in the respect that both you and I will set goals to achieve and I will create lesson plans to ensure they are completed efficiency and effectively. My lessons are not only a time for specialised learning, but I will incorporate games and fun to ensure the retention of attention and the willingness to learn more.

The basis of my lessons focus on your actual understanding of the topics and even the nitty- gritty details of them. I focus on running through examples, making easy to follow and accessible notes that will help you throughout your study.
As I am a current student I know exactly how a student would like to be helped when a topic seems difficult. My method of teaching would be explaining the content using diagrams and flow charts etc, using text books to help you make notes, doing a lot of questions from text books and past papers.
I base my teaching on understanding the basics, because I believe if you have a strong foundation, you can attempt any question.
I approach each pupil dependant upon their needs, build on concepts that they are familiar with and use methods that are best for each student. For example some pupils might prefer visual aids whereas others may prefer descriptive examples. Everyone is unique and everyone learns their own way, I will attempt to find what that is and nurture it to the best of their ability.
First- year medical student from Leeds. Provide online help with Chemistry up to A-level standard. Past papers are the best way forward! Will mark your attempted papers, provide advice where you have gone wrong and model answers for big mark questions.
I'm teaching my students in a way that I found more suitable, giving topics a week before the lecture and explain it the week after and resolve any issues might arise and finally test the knowledge. This style might change depends on student understanding.
I personally believe that every student has different way understanding. So my strategy starts with basics of any topic whether with power point presentation or verbally as per the need. Also i believe in task work because only verbal communications are not enough until we do it practically. So with some interesting i will keep my lecture end.
Socratic which is based on probing the student in discovering. As a teacher I do set the scene for students to find best methods for them to learn in different ways and the discoveries will motivate them to learn more.
I provide a structured approach to learning where I teach a topic in depth before moving my students onto simple questions and building up to exam-style questions. Being in education, I am still in the process of taking exams and therefore I will be able to provide you or your child with key tips and advice on how to tackle exams and assessments.
First of all I evaluate the student and identify the needs and target, then I design a plan to meet the target. It is important to understand your need before starting and plan.I also make sure you will meet all the targets.
I have believed that always start from the basics. One should familiar with the pattern then only it can move forward. I think with the help of presentation or verbal communication i will first try to explain the topics to the students then only i will move to the exercise and i strongly believe that class exercise has its own importance.
My teaching method starts with uncovering the specific topic(s) a student is weaker in within the subject being taught, and creating teaching plans for each session dedicated to the students needs. I will approach this by producing questions varying in difficulty to go through and explain to the student step by step of the different methods which can be applied to solve the questions provided.
Most of my teaching/tutoring experience is in secondary schools and one-to-one with year 11/13 to assist in exam revision. Since the sciences and maths require problem solving at its core, the main problem many students have is not having an intuitive understanding of a concept and so struggle to apply it to a problem when needed and often how to go about solving a problem in the first place.
I have competence in handling elementary school syllabus , high school students syllabuses in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Physics and undergraduate Chemistry and Physics students. I use accredited textbook for teaching and deliver one on one or group teaching.
I always start simple as this builds the fundamental basics that can be developed to cover the whole topic. In order to learn those trickier topics I think its essential to break down each process and fully understand it before moving onto the next stage by highlighting the most important information in a fun and memorable way, so come results day it can easily be remembered.
I give lessons for GCSE maths in which I got a grade 7 so I know the new specification well. I also teach GCSE science in which I got a grade A in both additional and core. My lesson structure would be teaching you how to work it out, showing you a video and then applying the knowledge to exam questions. I feel this is the best way to learn and from previous experience can say it works.
I am phd student and I am ready to give lessons in chem to all schools level I beleive the chem science not complex so I should make it easy and simple in order to understand I am young teacher and I can work only for part time
I like to have quite simple teaching method. At the beginning of my tutoring with my students I like to find out how they learn, then incorperate this in the way I teach them therefore they are more likely to excel.
I approach based on the students needs, I have a problem solving style and I’m very thorough and specific. I try to use lots of analogies to make subjects simpler and easier to understand.
The best way to cement information is repetition, however this can become boring and it is easy to get distracted.
I believe in approaching problems with an open mindset, deciding the best way to tackle it and working through it methodically, which I would hope to pass on to a student.
