About Samantha
I am a Masters's Student at Furman University and received my Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry with a focus on Biochemistry. Prior to college, I have tutored algebra 1 and 2 and during college, I have tutored Organic, General Chemistry, and Biochemistry. Additionally, I have experience being a teacher's assistant in General Chemistry as well as currently researching in Environmental and Analytical Chemistry.

Throughout my tutoring and teaching experience, I have found that teaching using examples and working problems to be one of the best ways to help students understand the material. I begin going over the concept or problem and asking them questions to identify what is their current level of understanding. From, I continue to help and guide them to attaining the right answer and more importantly understanding the material the problem or issue is based on. What excites me about being a tutor is seeing the lightbulb go off when a student finally understands what we are discussing.
