About Daniil

Hello!

My name is Daniil, and chess has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old. A passionate player since childhood, I’ve competed in hundreds of tournaments and won dozens of youth and adult competitions. For the past 9 years, I’ve been sharing my love for chess as a coach in a variety of settings: chess clubs, primary schools, middle schools, private tutoring, and community centers.

I teach in English, French, and Russian.

I also hold a Master’s degree in International Strategy and Economic Intelligence from La Sorbonne University in Paris.

A few numbers to get to know me better:
- 9 years of experience teaching chess
- 20 years of club and tournament practice
- Official FIDE rating: 1900 / Online rating: 2400+
- Over 2,500 hours of lessons taught to 1,000+ students (individual and group sessions)

About the lesson

Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, my lessons are tailored to help you progress quickly while enjoying the learning process.

My method is built on years of coaching experience and follows a structured, comprehensive approach suitable for all levels. It focuses on three key areas:

1) Fundamentals – Learn or strengthen the key principles in openings, middlegames, and endgames
2) Tactics & Strategy – Improve your board vision through engaging, practical exercises
3) Game Analysis – Understand your mistakes, spot your strengths, and apply your insights in real games

My goal is to help you develop a clear and complete understanding of chess, so you can improve efficiently and reach your goals — whether you're playing for fun or aiming for tournament success.
