One of our best tutors. Quality profile, experience in their field, verified qualifications and a great response time. Clara will be happy to arrange your first Chess lesson.

About Clara

I played in my schools Chess team during Primary School and during High School I began to play Chess as a hobby.

I am currently a System Development student who enjoys playing Chess in my free time. I am excited to share my enthusiasm for my favorite board game with you.

About the lesson

The chess board has 6 different types of pieces. I will teach you the functionality of one piece per hour.

Our lessons will involve me explaining and demonstrating the functionality of the piece and then we will play a match together using all the pieces that we have learnt about at that point in time. During the matches I will help you understand the best course of action.

When we are done learning how the the 6 pieces operate we will play 3 matches with me assisting you and a final match without my assistance.

Additional lessons can be arranged.

Lessons take place during the following time periods:

Mondays 1pm-6pm
Tuesdays - Thursdays 1pm-5pm, 6.30pm-8pm
Fridays 1pm-5pm
Sundays 4.30pm-8pm

Please use the time slots above as a guide when scheduling a lesson.

Clara is hardworking and is very patient with her students. She easily changes her approach of teaching to match the different type of students. Students always feel confident in having her as a tutor. She breaks down hard to understand topics into smaller fragments making it easier to understand and translates it to you in a manner that you can understand.
