About Sophia
Hello! My name is Sophia, and I am an engineering student and DOST scholar with a strong passion for mathematics and education.
As someone who regularly works with mathematics, analytical thinking, and problem-solving, I understand that many students find math intimidating—and that is exactly why I aim to create lessons that are patient, engaging, and easy to understand.
I believe that learning becomes more effective when students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students improve academically but also to help them gain confidence in their abilities.

Hello! My name is Sophia, and I am an engineering student and DOST scholar passionate about making mathematics easier and more enjoyable to learn.
My teaching approach focuses on creating a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods depending on the student's needs, learning style, and goals.
During lessons, I explain concepts step-by-step using simple explanations, examples, practice problems, and guided exercises to ensure students truly understand the topic rather than simply memorising formulas. I also encourage active participation to build confidence and problem-solving skills.
Typical lessons usually last 1–2 hours depending on the student's preference and learning needs.
I can teach Mathematics to elementary, middle school, high school, and beginner college students. Whether you need help with basic mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, or other math-related topics, I aim to make learning less stressful and more engaging.
As an engineering student, I regularly work with mathematics and analytical problem-solving, which allows me to provide clear explanations and practical approaches to difficult topics.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them become more confident learners.
