About Carmen
Having started my own musical journey at a young age through formal lessons in music theory and classical flute, and later advancing my studies at the University of Westminster to deepen my understanding of music. I have been through my classical grades as well as my Grade 5 Music Theory.

I bring a vibrant and adaptable teaching style to my music lessons, I love keeping things relaxed and fun, especially for beginners. My lessons are fun and tailored to each student's individual pace, ensuring they build confidence and enjoy their musical journey. I strive to create an encouraging and engaging environment where students feel inspired to explore their musical interests while developing a solid foundation in music. A typical beginner's journey in my lessons kicks off with getting to know your musical tastes and interests. We’ll start with the basics, like getting comfortable holding notes and producing sound, ensuring you feel confident with your instrument from the get-go. From there, we’ll explore essential patterns and work on playing simple note sequences and scales. As you progress, I’ll introduce you to reading music in a way that's easy to grasp. We'll have fun playing basic melodies, using a lively book to guide us from one tune to the next. It's all about creating a musical adventure that's both educational and fun!
