About Callie
"Twenty-one years of tutoring happens to overlap with 12 years of writing code for tech companies in Sydney and Melbourne, which means I treat students like junior colleagues. My Bachelor of Science in CS from Monash and 5 years at Canva inform how I teach object-oriented programming and Java. Clean code practices and backend basics like APIs are core to my method, alongside Python and web essentials like HTML and CSS.
I spend most of my time helping students solve problems on coding platforms, focusing on project-based learning rather than lectures. The academic environment can be tough when you just read theory, so I focus on the practical side of things."
