About Samm
I am currently a college student at MSU. Coming in to school, I didn't have to take any more english classes, but it has always been such a thrill for me to learn and I couldn't pass on the opportunity to continue my literary growth! I've gone from reading chapter books and writing reports on them in kindergarten, to now brainstorming to write my own books. I know some kids feel more comfortable learning in their own home, so I can tutor online or travel to meet with the student, whatever best meets the needs of the child involved. My whole goal with english tutoring is to help kids see that english can be fun, and doesn't have to be a class where boring reading is forced every day. Kids should be given the chance to learn about what they're reading, and learn to enjoy the reading and writing along the way. I'm here to help with that, planning unique studying lessons, encouraging good writing habits, and leading to brighter futures!

I've been advanced in english since my youngest days, leaving high school with a total of 12 hours of english credit alone (4 classes-worth), and still expanded my literary knowledge every day. Every student is approached with a unique teaching method, specialized to their needs. Lessons can range from 1.5-3 hours, focusing on anything from grammar, basic writing skills, figurative language techniques, thesis writing, rhetoric, use of sources, argument forming and any other skilled needed through primary, middle and high school. Going from a lesson, I'll log progress and find new ways to learn for the next step of their tutoring coming into the next lesson. Every child is welcome, and every lesson will be encouragingly learned!
