About Alexis
I love when students finally start to understand the math they are working on. They start to think deeper about the problems in front of them rather than just going through the motions of the problem. Even if students are struggling at first, I will take the time to review things that make sense to them and then go on to help them with the more complex side of their work.

I take time to actually have the students understand the material rather than just memorizing what to do when given a math problem. I use real-world examples and their interests to make their learning fun and more meaningful to them. I have a lot of patience with students who struggle with math, which allows me to come up with out-of-the-box thinking to help them understand what they are struggling with.
