About James
Hi! I'm James, I have a passion for science, engineering, and spaceflight. I recently graduated with honors from the Colorado School of Mines in Engineering Physics (B.Sc.). I worked as a TA for two semesters in the Advanced Laboratory courses where I greatly enjoyed connecting with students and helping them with course content. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering and ultimately aim to join the Astronaut Program. In my free time I enjoy stargazing, playing electric guitar, and competitive Thai Boxing. I hope we can connect and learn together!

My approach to tutoring emphasizes providing examples for you to learn from, I want my students to understand the root material instead of memorizing how to solve a given problem. During a lesson we may review any trouble spots from past lessons to identify gaps in your learning, then we'll focus on a core topic for the bulk of our time. I try to incorporate real-world examples to build your intuition whenever possible. Each session will end with a few tailored practice problems and a brief recap to solidify what we learned. I encourage you to ask a lot of questions. My lessons are aimed at high school-college STEM students, but anyone who wants to learn is welcome!
