About Schuyler
My name is Schuyler (pronounced Skyler)! I graduated from Columbia University Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in History. I'm currently a graduate student getting a master's in Shakespeare Studies at the Shakespeare Institute. I have three years of tutoring experience for students in middle and high school. I have a deep love and passion for knowledge and teaching subjects such as History, English, Literature, and Writing.

My teaching lessons are inspired by the influential professors I was surrounded by throughout my degree. These professors taught me the best way to teach is by creating a positive work environment by teaching material I am passionate about in a comprehensive manner that aims to clarify by taking the time to make sure my student's needs are met. I discuss what topics the student seeks more clarification on, then I present the appropriate lesson plan which targets those issues and teach the material. I aim to be extremely patient and always make sure to check in with the student's needs. I am also willing to adjust based on the needs of each student.
My lessons are for high school students looking to do well on the ACT or AP exams. Additionally, I work on editing and helping draft college essays. I also work with middle and high schoolers on English, Writing, Grammar, History, and Literature.
